In short: we design GERBER.ai to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If anything gets in your way, email us and we will help you get the information another way while we fix it.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use GERBER.ai, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the website and mobile app.
2. What we have built in
- A “Skip to content” link and a logical heading order on every page.
- Buttons, links and menus work with a keyboard and show a visible focus ring.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, checked in every colour palette in both light and dark mode.
- Light and dark modes and six colour palettes, so you can choose what is most comfortable to read.
- Colour is never the only signal: status and tiers also carry a label or icon.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on phones and tablets, and layouts that work from small phones to wide screens.
- Help (i) buttons that explain each chart and table in plain words.
- Captions on our explainer video.
3. Known limitations
We are still working on some areas:
- Interactive maps are hard to use with a screen reader. Most of the same figures are also shown in tables or lists on the page.
- Some complex charts do not yet have a full text alternative.
- Exported PDF reports are not yet fully tagged for screen readers.
- Payment pages run by Stripe and the Google sign-in page are outside our control.
4. Getting information another way
If any part of GERBER.ai is hard for you to use, email mark@gerber.ai and tell us which page and what you need. We can send the data you are looking for as a plain-text, spreadsheet or accessible document, at no extra cost.
5. Report a barrier
Please tell us about any barrier at mark@gerber.ai. Include the page link, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and assistive technology you use if you can. We reply within 5 business days and tell you what we will fix and when.
6. How we check
We test changes with automated contrast and layout checks at phone and desktop sizes, in light and dark mode and in every palette, and by using pages with a keyboard. We review this statement whenever the Service changes in a big way, and at least once a year.
